Unable to place a call on Iridium 9505A

Follow the steps below if you are unable to place a call from the Iridium 9505A.

Step 1: Remount the antenna

  1. Make sure the antenna is in the down position
  2. Hold down the eject button on the top of the phone
  3. Remove antenna
  4. Hold down the eject button again
  5. Reinsert the antenna and apply pressure so the antenna is tight to the body
  6. While still applying pressure, release the eject button
  7. Rotate the antenna upward, the antenna will firmly snap into position

Step 2: Place a call

  1. Go outside in the most open area possible
  2. Rotate the antenna until it snaps into place and extend it
  3. Make a free test call to 1-480-752-5105
  4. Iridium will automatically answer the call
